day 31: farewell august

August 31, 2010

This concludes the great August Break. Thank you, Susannah, for organizing such a lovely project.

And so I leave you with scenes from the last few days of August, taken with (and I can hardly believe I am going to say this) my iPhone. Gasp! Yes, I am now the owner of said device, given to me by the ever so charming British boy (yet another reason to adore him) after he upgraded to the I4 (he does love him some gadgets). There is a scratch on the lens or perhaps it’s the AR coating that needs to be checked but either way, I am enjoying the convenience of being able to share, at a moment’s notice, a little glimpse of my day with people near and far.

August… you were so good to me. I miss you already and I look forward to seeing again next year.

September… welcome. I am very excited for your arrival as you come bearing gifts of housewarming parties and apple picking and 3-day weekends and a long list of musicians coming through Montreal and, most importantly, the object of my affection.

It’s been a great month that went by so quickly. Thanks, by the way, for the heads up on The August Break. I became part of the group and enjoyed it immensely.

    Happy September!!!

I do not leave August behind me easily. In fact I’m going out kicking and screaming. August was the cherry on the sundae for me this year. So amazingly wonderful. I was happy in that month. And then this morning I turned the page on my calender. September was empty. Not good. Ah, but then I remembered a certain house warming party that I’m so very much looking forward to and that filled one little square. There is also the possibility of a road trip but it’s not looking too promising thanks to Mother Nature. So I can only hope that a few more squares will fill with happy exciting events. And I must admit the 1st day of September is much easier to take when at 5:30 in the morning it’s already 21 degrees outside. Yay.

It is sad to see August go, but I think I will embrace fall with joy for all the colours, same as I do each year.

Also, jealous of your iphone! My mom has an iphone before how do, how sad is that! πŸ˜‰

    Hey You,

I have had computer problems which resulted in being without mine for almost three weeks . I have it back, but have lost all my bookmarks and email addresses along with other stuff. I also totally lost my temper over the run around I got as the computer is under warranty, but oh man, the hassles! I seldom lose my temper as you know (too lazy) but when I do it ain’t pretty. Aaaanyway, I’ve just looked briefly at your blog for the first time in three weeks. Please send me your email addy.

    Love ya!
