pray for paris… and the world
November 14, 2015
Someone’s son, daughter, mother, father, sister, brother, friend, lover, spouse is grieving today. I woke up this morning so grateful to have my husband on one side, my daughter on the other, my friends and family safe and sound in their own beds.
I’ll never understand why we can’t just all live together in peace on this big, beautiful planet. I’ll never understand.
“later that night
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered
where does it hurt?
it answered
everywhere
everywhere
everywhere”

I feel the same way and wonder how we will ever come to be at peace with each other. Perhaps one person at a time. Thankful for you and your families safety as well as mine.
Have a beautiful Sunday.
Amen.
And yet. Hope.
Jeanine, I couldn’t agree more with your sentiment here. I can not understand it either. It makes me sad deep in my soul, as I’m sure it does for all good peace-loving people everywhere. Thank goodness that 99.9% of people are not like this and just want to live free from fear and violence. By the way, I am just loving your blog. So glad I found it on the big wide interweb x
