this our new house as it currently stands
it’s a bit like this scene from money pit

it is both daunting and exciting
and it’s going to require a hell of a lot of imagination
and time
and work

as all good things do

Is it wrong that I’m hoping that you keep the Mary Poppins? If you decorate like you photograph then it’s going to be amazing!

This looks like the kind of place and project that should get you onto Grand Designs! Those wall murals are something. But what an amazing opportunity to save a house and make it your own, truly your own. Wishing you lots of luck and stamina and patience and whatever else you will need to do this. I have a feeling that it will be amazing!

Are you missing a chimney? What does it smell like in there? What an adventure you have to live. Very exciting. And that rose, that beautiful rose. A sign of life must be a good omen. I wish you courage and strength. Don’t forget to keep your eyes open for hidden treasure.

So exciting! The light is beautiful. We’re trying to buy a Victorian Cottage which needs a lot of work. Similar thing, veering between terror at the amount of money to be spent and excitement at making somewhere our own. Looking forward to following you on this journey. All good luck!

I forgot completely about the kitchen episode. And that laugh of Tom Hanks is so hilarious. I hope you and Joe won’t be sounding like that 6 months from now. 🙂

it feels great to see these pictures, and at the same time part of me is wailing “it’s not FAIR! i want to see it in PERSON!” and having a wee tantrum.

so, SO excited for you and can’t wait to see it in person, soon
    xx
