december views – meet wilbur
I know what you’re thinking. Isn’t Little Piggy a little young to be drinking? And the answer is, technically, we don’t really know how old Little Piggy is so we must give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that he is of drinking age, at least in the pig world. He said oink as I was pouring a glass of wine, I said really, you drink? I took his climbing up the glass and plunging into the ruby goodness to mean yeah-ah! We did, after all, have something to celebrate. Yes, indeedy, the little fella now has a name. From here on out, he will be known as Wilbur.
There were so many wonderful names to choose from (thank you all) and it wasn’t an easy decision, but I ended up going with Wilbur because Charlotte’s Web was one of my favorite books growing up and everything about the name matches the blog (well, mainly the W). Plus, I can call him Wil for short or Willy the Kid when he’s being bad ass, Sir Wilbur when we’re at the opera and being oh-so-propah. Not to mention that it is prime for alliteration and rhyme. Case in point:

I think Wilbur suits that little guy just fine. I like the idea of a book too. I always did think you should write one. I just never thought the main character would be a worldly little piggy. hee hee

Wilbur’s Wee World Wanderings!
Hi Jeanine! Saw your comment over at Shutter Sisters. Some of my favorite travel spots: Japan, Australia and Cuba. In the states you can’t beat California for a little bit of everything. Utah and Colorado are also lovely. Ocean, mountains, forests, etc. Also, it is summer down under, so if you need sunshine Australia or New Zealand might be your ticket! Have fun!!

Hi! Found you through Shutter Sisters. I love that you are documenting Wilbur’s adventures. These pictures are great and fun. I had a stuffed monkey named Waldorf that I did this with last year, although not as beautifully. I need to bust him back out and try again. 🙂
