list 18: sundays are for lovers

July 11, 2010

i am weeks behind in my lists but such is summer, which for me means stepping away from the computer in favor of reading in the park, taking photos at dusk, riding my bicycle, strolling to the local gelato spot at 10pm, having people over for bbqs and sitting on rooftops with friends and a bottle of wine and conversation. also, these days my consciousness is streaming here. it appears my voice feels free in that small tumblr space. and i don’t know why that is. perhaps because there isn’t even the option of comments so i feel like nobody is reading and there is freedom in that. or maybe it has everything to do with my obsessive music addiction (i realize this statement is redundant but it is only to emphasize the extent of my addiction).

either way. that’s where i’ve been lately.on tumblr. and rooftops. and train tracks.

but still. i do love me a good list and this week, i have been inspired by leonie who was inspired by the publication sundays are for lovers, which i received a month ago and it is GOLDEN, people. i strongly encourage you to purchase a copy. it sits on my coffee table oozing inspiration.

within said publication is an invitation to answer a set of questions that all the featured artists answered. who can resist such an invitation, right? not i, said the fly.

My home-base is the mile end (aka best neighborhood ever), montreal, canada

Day to day I work as a means to make money to pay for my next trip

If I didn’t do this I would be a travel writer/photographer (or a groupie to a thousand different bands)

Next year I will travel to many places (i hope). definitely mexico or costa rica and england and perhaps ireland or morocco ( i am a dreamer)

To me Sunday means slowing down.

And I like to eat pancakes. or soft boiled eggs & soldiers made by the man i love because 9 times out of 10, i fuck them up

And I will get out of bed at 7am to make the most of my day. or 10am if saturday night ended in the wee hours of sunday morning

And get dressed around noon

And I will smile about the fact that i have an entire day ahead of me to do as i please

And I just may daydream about the seaside

And when Monday comes i will probably already be looking forward to next sunday (which is so not living in the moment. i know)

as leonie suggested, i invite you to play along on your own blog or in the comment section.

i’m off to get a scoop of grapefruit sorbet. i hope your sunday has been glorious.

my home-base is my brother’s house in a neighbor that took me in when i had no where to go

Day to day I work as a way to make health care in the state a better place

If I didn’t do this I would be a photographer or bartender (in my own little hole in the wall place)

Next year I will travel to somewhere new

To me Sunday means relaxing and planning for the next week

And I like to eat summer veggies from the farmer’s market

And I will get out of bed when i finish reading this chapter in my rather juicy book

And get dressed if i have to leave the house.

And I will smile about wearing my pajamas all day if i want.

And I just may daydream about ice cream cones and cooler days when it’s not blistering hot outside.

And when Monday comes i will put on my shoes to get onto what needs to be done.

My home-base is my little hidden town in the land of Paella and sangria, in Valencia Spain. But I live in Montreal, which is pretty ok.

Day to day I work as a means to make me feel I am capable of doing something useful to others, learning and making money to go eat to the best places in town or plan a scapade to a new land.

If I didn’t do this I would be a travel writer! or even better… Food critic around the world.

Next year I will travel to as many places as my holidays and budget allow me. It’s high time for South America… but also Switzerland, Austria…

To me Sunday means sleeeeeeep and then go for a good brunch and then sleeeeep again.

And I like to eat everything, everywhere. Specially valencian paella, spanish tapas, montreal breakfast, goood croissants, jamón, cheeese, food from other countries I might travel one day.

And I will get out of bed if feel I have so much to live and share that I can’t be there one minute more wasting my time.

And get dressed after make up and hair, coz only then I know how my face looks like that day and what maches it.

And I will smile about the fact that i have an entire day ahead. Yes, me too, that’s the good and last resort feeling of every Sunday.

And I just may daydream about where will i go eat next time, what can i do o make him happy…

And when Monday comes i will probably think that next weekend will be even better but these 5 coming days are mine to try to be healthier and stop drinking! For God’s sake.
