day 14 – cheers!
It’s Friday night, it’s been a long week and gin just met tonic… the sparks are flying and the only thing I’m remotely capable of doing at this moment is chiiilllllling out. I made some pizza (spelt crust, pesto, onion, tomato, garlic, broccoli and cheese), rented season one of Gossip Girl and I suspect red wine will be joining the party any minute now so I’ll keep this post brief.
I’ve never seen Gossip Girl before but it seems to be on many people’s guilty pleasure list so I figured I would give it a shot. So far, I’m 10 minutes into the Pilot episode and all I have to say is you know you’re getting old when you’re crushing on the dads in the show as opposed to the students.
Having said that, I’m afraid I might already be hooked. Why, you might ask? Is the dad that cute? Is it the witty repartee? I can’t say for sure yet… but if the past is any indication, the line was cast in the first few riffs of Peter Bjorn & John’s song Young Folks and they are reeling me in, people. It seems to be a thing with me .. Scrubs, Grey’s Anatomy, The OC… they might be fluff shows but dang do they ever play good music and that just gets me every time. I’m a sucker for a good soundtrack, what can I say?
xo
So I’ve just been surfing, desperatley trying to find when the 6th season of the L Word is coming out at the same time I’m downloading the 5th season of greys anatomy and looking into Dexter. I am happy without Television I tell myself until I’m sitting here on Fri night trying to get my fill of filler. Sigh.
Ok, I admit it. You are a waaaay better woman than I am. There are several reasons for my saying that, but at the moment what I’m thinking is I can’t even find the time to send a comment before the day is gone you’re on to the next post! So, I loved the “sayings” post and can’t thank you enough for the tahini sauce recipe. And before this post is yesterday’s I’ll add that I don’t watch much TV, have never seen any of the shows you listed, but wonder if your addiction to the genre means you have a thing for doctors? Don’t blame you a bit 🙂
It’s Blair; girl can deliver an insult. And yes, the dad on that show is kinda smoking hot!
